The October meeting of Middleton Manor Lodge took place at the Masonic Hall Albany Road Sittingbourne on Tuesday 8th October at 6.30PM.
The meeting was chaired by our Worshipful Master, W.Bro Alan Newton who was assisted by his officers. During the meeting, two of our members, Bro Darren Lingham & Bro Mick Barnes where presented with their Grand Lodge certificates. An explanation of the certificate, along with its history was given by W.Bro Russ Wibrew in a very informative manner. W.Bro Russ explained its history dating back to the 1700's and showed copies of various certificates to explain how they had changed over the years but the core meaning had remained the same.
After the meeting everybody enjoyed a hearty meal of Carrot & Coriander soup, Gammon Steaks with potatoes and Veg, Cheese, biscuits and Coffee. During the meal a raffle raised £85 towards local charities.
